Dear member of the H.E.L.P. community,

RMHC Australia is proud to once again host the 2017 International Health / Educators / Learners / Parents (H.E.L.P.)

Every year, thousands of children are treated for serious illnesses. The impact of hospitalisation, medications and lengthy rehabilitation is often the tip of the ice berg for these families.

The theme of this year’s conference is Continuity, Care and Innovation. ‘Continuity’ because it is vital that we offer the same high level of service and expertise throughout the health and learning journey. ‘Care’ because that is our very reason for being - it is at the core of all that we do and  ‘Innovation’ because we must always move forward and do differently.

As professionals and parents - the experts and leaders from the fields of Health and Education, we are here to discuss the implications of chronic illness on children and consider practical strategies to help children and families. By focusing on the latest research and innovative health and educational practices, we can help improve the educational and psychological outcomes for children with serious illness.

We invite you to share your thoughts and knowledge in order to foster new ideas and understandings to help seriously ill children get back the future they have always deserved.

The 2017 H.E.L.P. Conference is shaping up to be the best yet and we look forward to sharing our exciting program with you in the New Year.

Together, we can bridge the gap between Health and Education to improve future outcomes for students with serious illnesses and their families.
